Services Available

Health Care Agent.

Our caring, compassionate, and experienced team make house calls. We routinely visit homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospitals to ensure that quality care is being provided. For clients with concerns about their future living arrangements, we can navigate and choose appropriate and safe placement options best suited for the client’s individual needs.

Financial Power of Attorney.

We can be named to serve as your financial agent for day to day finances such as making sure your insurance gets paid or that you have money budgeted for groceries. We can be named as a successor agent in the event that someone you trust to handle your finances is unable to do it in the future. Whether you need us now or just want the peace of mind that you have a safety net in place for the future, we are here to assist.

Conservator.

We accept Court appointments as Conservator in South Carolina. We handle the day to day financial matters for those who require assistance with managing their income and assets. Our team will ensure that the client’s finances are properly managed and utilized for the benefit of the client. If the client needs to be enrolled in Medicaid in the future, our team is able to assist to ensure that expenditures are in compliance with Medicaid and other governmental agency rules.

Trust Protector.

We can be named to serve as your trust protector to ensure that the wishes and desires contained in your Trust are fulfilled and that your Trust is properly managed. If you choose a family member to administer a Trust, but want someone to be a second set of eyes or to approve big decisions, we can assist.

Guardian.

We routinely assist with hospital discharges to appropriate long term care placements. We accept Court appointments as Guardian in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. We communicate with family and friends, keeping them informed of what to expect and what is going on. We receive important information and act as a point of contact for facilities. We handle all Probate Court filings and reporting and accept Temporary Guardianships, Limited Guardianships, Limited Guardianships, and Full Guardianships.

Personal Representative.

Our team can assist with properly administering your estate to make sure that your final wishes are carried out. While going through the probate process can be complex at times, we can navigate it to simplify the process. If you have concerns about choosing one family member over another or simply wish to have a professional agency serve as your Personal Representative, LLPFS is here to help.

Care Management.

We assist with routine care needs and check-ins. Family members living afar may benefit from our updates. We help coordinate appointments and caregiver schedules. We take advantage of resources available to assist with the provision of care.

Team Coordination.

We work with your existing professionals. We can be appointed in your estate planning documents, such as your will, trust, durable financial power of attorney, health care power of attorney, living will, and advance directives. We can work with your attorney, financial advisor, CPA, and insurance agents to coordinate your all around care.

Living Arrangement Support.

Aging in place can be complex. We assist with needed home repairs and modifications to allow for continued home living. If a transition is needed to a family member’s home, assisted living facility, or long term skilled care placement, we can help make the move much easier. We can assist you with logistical support as you sell your house and move.

Family communication.

If you don’t have loved ones actively involved in the day to day, but want to make sure they are kept in the loop, we provide necessary communication at the level you and your family prefer. For those with more difficult family situations, we help navigate relationships and communication styles to obtain the best care possible.
